Questions
Before your visit
Answers are general and do not replace clinical evaluation.
Does every knee pain need surgery?
No. Many patients improve with weight management, physiotherapy, medication and injections. Surgery is suggested only after a clear assessment of pain, function and imaging.
I had a fall yesterday — should I come to emergency or OPD?
If you can't bear weight, have severe pain, deformity, numbness or significant swelling, come to emergency. Otherwise an OPD slot is fine.
How long is the stay after joint replacement?
Typical stays are a few days, depending on the procedure, your overall health and recovery. Your surgeon will walk you through what to expect.
Will physiotherapy be part of my recovery?
Yes. Post-op rehabilitation is planned from day one and continues after discharge.
